Properties

There’s a load of information packaged into each Pipe. Each Pipe has been coated with a unique Botto fragment created on or before the 9th of February 2022. Decipher your Pipe’s merit by understanding each property:

Raw Score

The raw score is a ranking mechanism of Botto fragments calculated by (uniqueVotes/uniqueViews)*100. A higher score indicates larger appreciation of the original fragment that coats each Pipe.

Score Rank

The score rank is an ascending order rank based on the raw score of a fragment. A lower score rank value indicates a higher raw score value relative to other scores. Basically, this indicates how well accepted your pipe’s fragment is!

Voting Points

Voting points indicate the total amount of votes a fragment acquired throughout all voting rounds (up to February 9th). Voting points do not necessarily indicate a wider-audience appreciation of the fragment.

Sentiment

The sentiment of each Pipe is discerned from the score rank, total voting participants, and voting point expenditure of each fragment. Sentiments indicate how ‘interesting’ the artwork on the Pipe actually is, whether the fragment was widely appreciated, had a select few advocates, or can be considered an atrocity that shouldn’t exist.

Sentiment categories are: Outstanding, Cherished, Latent, and Respected. Two further types of sentiment exist, namely Niche and Controversial. While these are considered unique sentiments, they actively overlap with other sentiment categories (read your Pipe’s description)! Finally, an Atrocious sentiment exists for the bottom 10 fragments based on their Score Ranking.

The Cull of March 2022

Based on the passed BIP-04, Botto removed over 80% of all fragments from the weekly voting pool in March 2022. The majority of these fragments will likely never see the light of day again. There are three statuses for this property.

First, a Pipe may carry a ‘Minted’ status, meaning the fragment coating the pipe was sold at auction as a Botto Genesis artwork. These Pipes were allocated to the owners of the minted works. ‘Survived’ indicates that the fragment was not culled by the passed BIP-04. ‘Culled’ indicates that the fragment wrapping the Pipe was discarded from the voting pool in the Cull of March 2022.

Rarity

These properties in isolation don’t necessarily indicate overall rarity. Rarity of your Pipe can be discerned through its combination of properties.
